John Spalding Library Wrexham Maelor Hospital

About Us

The Library was officially opened in 1967 and originally sited at the old prefabricated Postgraduate Centre within the Wrexham Maelor Hospital grounds.  Named in memory of a former surgeon at the hospital in 1990 it was moved to the newly built Wrexham Medical Institute and is situated on the first floor.

This purposed built library includes a large open plan area for study, shelving, quiet rooms for study, a well-being room, and two computer rooms.  The John Spalding Library is part of the BCU Libraries Service within the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board.
