About Us
Morriston Hospital provides acute general medical care, and care of the elderly, as well as a trauma and orthopaedic service, and specialty services including urology, rheumatology, intensive care and palliative medicine to a wide catchment area. Tertiary services based on this site include The Welsh Centre for Burns and Plastic Surgery, and The Welsh Institute of Metabolic and Obesity Surgery. Morriston also has a regional renal unit, regional vascular surgery and maxillofacial services (including Cleft Lip & Palate). It hosts the All Wales Emergency Medical Retrieval and Transfer service (EMRTS Cymru).

Access is available to all NHS Wales staff and to students on placement.

Joining the Library:

To join the library please contact us in person or by completing the online form
Borrowing Books:

You may borrow a maximum of 10 books

Loans are for 2 or 4 weeks but you can renew on request

You will receive regular email reminders about your loans

Books that are not available can usually be requested in from another library
Literature Searches:

We conduct Literature Searches for research, clinical audit, service improvement, patient information and education

Literature searching requests will be accepted from the online form or via email and returned to you via email
Evidence Summaries:

UpToDate is supplied through the SBU Library Service

This resource is generously funded through the Health Board SIFT Committees

Article & eJournal Access:

The majority of journals are now available to NHS Wales staff online
